iPhone Photography Awards Announces Annual Winners
IPPAWARDS has announced the winners of its 18th annual competition, with Jarod Peraza of the United States winning the Grand Prize for 'Viajero Nocturno,' a haunting moonlit scene from Colombia.
The iPhone Photography Awards (IPPAWARDS) has announced the winners of its 18th annual competition, a global showcase of photography captured on Apple's iconic device.
Thousands of submissions across 140+ countries were received in the annual competition, with Jarod Peraza of the United States winning the Grand Prize, Photographer of the Year, for "Viajero Nocturno," a haunting moonlit scene from Villa de Leyva, Colombia.

The image captures stillness, solitude, and mystery, all rendered with cinematic elegance on iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Carol Addassi, also from the U.S., earned First Place, Photographer of the Year for "Passage," described as a timeless portrait of intimacy and reflection set beneath Central Park's arches in New York City.

Thiago Bernardes de Souza of Brazil received Second Place for "Moto Cães," an exuberant glimpse of canine companionship on the open road in Brasília.

Third Place honors went to Martha Nance (USA) for "Foggy Morning on the Corrotoman," a soft, dreamlike vision of Virginia's riverside serenity.

Local photographers recognised include Mark Sarmiento, from Victoria, Australia, who won First Place in the Nature category, with his image "Winter Bamboos" — shot in Japan on iPhone 14 Pro.
And New Zealand's Jayne Parker, who won the Animals category with "Close Encounter," captured in the Vava'u Island group of Tonga on iPhone 15 Pro.
